A consortium of research institutes has begun working on the digital twin of a Swiss town
CREATING A DIGITAL TWIN
UrbanTwin is developing and validating a holistic tool to support decision-makers in achieving goals such as the Swiss Energy Strategy 2050 and the vision of climate-adaptive “sponge cities” in Switzerland. This tool will be based on a detailed model of critical urban infrastructures, such as energy, clean and waste water, buildings, mobility and their inter-dependencies while considering underlying socio-economic and environmental factors.
